At The BHoH COLLECTIVE, we are all about fostering community, providing support, and creating safe spaces for people of colour to connect, grow, and thrive. We understand the importance of finding mentoring, support, and the opportunity to socialise with others who share similar backgrounds and cultures.
Our mission is to create an empowering environment where individuals can freely express themselves, celebrate their heritage, and find the resources they need to succeed. We firmly believe that by coming together, we can uplift one another and create lasting change in our communities.
With our supportive network of mentors, we offer a unique opportunity for individuals to access guidance and mentoring from accomplished individuals who understand the challenges and triumphs that can come from navigating life as a person of colour in a predominantly white city. These sessions are faciliated by Stella Munthali and Chiedu Oraka who look to support though the sharing of their experiences, knowledge, and wisdom to help others overcome barriers and achieve their goals.
Beyond mentoring, we recognise the importance of socialising and building relationships with like-minded individuals. Our collective provides a multitude of opportunities for members to connect, network, and socialise with others who share similar cultures and backgrounds. From cultural events and celebrations to community gatherings and group activities, our aim is to create a vibrant and uplifting community that nurtures personal growth and promotes unity.
Safety is of utmost importance to us. We strive to create safe spaces where individuals feel free to express themselves authentically without fear of judgment or prejudice. Our group offers a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone's experiences and perspectives are valued and respected. We actively encourage open dialogue, educate ourselves and others, and strive to dismantle systemic barriers that impede the progress of people of colour.
